FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOUD KNOW
Once you have a match, like all rescues, we ask for an adoption fee. Our adoption fees usually start from £350 and are capped at £550.00 payable by bank transfer. In addition, there is a microchip administration and registration transfer fee of £30.00.
It costs us on average between £12,000 and £20,000 to run the rescue each month. Our vet bills average around £8k a month. So, every penny counts. The money raised from Adoption Fees is all used to help us cover the costs of rescuing a dog, vet bills and running the centre.
Adoption fees are non-refundable so please think carefully before committing to your new furry friend. They are living creatures depending on you.
We keep the process as straight forward as possible. However, we work with the best interests of the dog or puppy in mind as a priority.
Step 1 is to meet the dogs. You can do this by arranging an appointment.
Step 2 is to complete an application form and pay a reservation fee of £250 (which is deducted from the total adoption fee)
Step 3 You will need to provide a video of your garden and downstairs of your home.
Step 4 Is to provide us with 2 forms of ID. One must be photographic, this could be a driving licence.
Step 5 Upon review of all your documents we will arrange a date for the adoption to take place
We prefer to judge each applicant/potential adopter on their own merits.
It is a parents responsibility to ensure both children and dog are safe at all times.
Our opening hours are between 11am and 4pm
We all work full time to support the dogs and the centre relies heavily on volunteers.
All dogs, rescue or other will take at least 3 months to settle in your home.
We advise you enrol your new dog in puppy/dog training classes
You will need patience, as your new dog will test you and push the boundaries at times.
But, in the event it does not work out, then, in accordance with our adoption agreement, you are required to return the dog to us.
Wherever possible the dogs and puppies are cat tested.
