ADOPTING A DOG

FROM THE MAX & GEORGE TRUST

If you are thinking of adopting, here is what you need to know

OK, before we get into showing pictures of cute and maybe not so cute dogs along with telling you all about the ins and outs of the adoption process and who can and who cannot adopt etc. etc. here is a quick recap of what you need to know first….

Where the dogs come from

The Max and George Trust rescue dogs come from variety of different places. These include UK homes, UK rescues, Spanish and Romanian Kill Centres, other Rescues, Spain, Cyprus, Crete, Macedonia, Romania, and Greece.

What this means

It means that as well as taking in dogs from the UK needing homes, The Max & George Trust will step in when it can, when its needed, where it can. The Max & George Trust cannot save every dog in the world so we focus on doing what we can and responding to dog emergencies both Internationally an here in the UK. You can read more on our about us page.

Health & Vaccinations

The health of every dog is a priority and all dogs that come from the EU are appropriately tested for diseases like leishmaniasis, brucella and other tick borne diseases. All dogs are vaccinated, wormed and vet checked.

We are in desperate need of new kennels, as there is never enough.

With the added pressures resulting from the increases to cost of living we are seeing an unprecedented number of dogs needed to be rehomed. To keep up, to carry on helping we need more kennel space.

we are trying to raise £15000 to get more kennels like the ones in the picture above.
